Lawcorp in the Community

The founder of Lawcorp Lawyers Don Smarrelli, has had a particularly strong interest in community affairs and over the years has been involved in and contributed to a number of community service organisations.

Don was awarded a Medal of Order of Australia (OAM) in 2007 for his services to multiculturalism and the community, particularly through fund raising for medical research.

Don currently holds the following positions:

Chairman of the Assisi Centre Limited in Rosanna which is ‘a not for profit’ religious and charitable aged care organisation. The Centre was established in the early 1990''s and has developed and flourished where it now provides 150 beds for the aging Italian community in need.

A Board member of the Toccolan Club, which is ‘a not for profit organisation established in 1990 by a group of people who shared Italian heritage. The club is devoted to assisting our adopted Australian community by raising charitable funds which have been donated to other organisations including The Royal Childrens Hospital, World Vision and the Asthma & Leukaemia Foundations.

Board member and Chairman of Human Resource subcommittee of the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) which has been working for 25 years exclusively with refugee and migrant young people to help build better lives as they settle into Australian life.
